On July 10, 2016, Black Lives Matter Oklahoma City held a rally in response to the most recent deaths of Black men by police -- Alton Sterling in Louisiana and Philando Castile in Minnesota. Planning for the event started before the attack on police working the BLM march in Dallas on July 7. The key organizers were Karen Gaines, Sheri Amore and Auziah Antwine, with support from NAACP, ACLU, and other organizations.
